2019 is the inaugural year of a contingency program for Amateur road racers by TTR Ignition Systems (www.ttrignition.com), in partnership with the RACE Superseries at Shannonville Motorsports Park. As the class sponsor for the Amateur Sportbike class, TTR Ignition will be offering a combination of cash and certificates to qualifying finishers in that class. TTR Ignition Systems is one of the very few companies offering prize purses for Amateur riders.
Qualifying riders must display 'TTR Ignition Systems' stickers on both sides of their fairing, and list TTR Ignition Systems as one of their sponsors. Qualifying riders who finish in the top five will receive certificates good towards the purchase of TTR Ignition products. Qualifying riders with TTR equipment installed on their machines will receive cash prizes instead of certificates.
Payout: 1st place - $75; 2nd place - $50; 3rd place - $35; 4th place - $25; 5th place - $15
Dollar figures are in Canadian funds. RACE Am Sportbike is currently the only elegible class.
There is no set maximum to the value of certificates that can be redeemed at any given time; the entire purchase value of an order (except taxes) may be paid for with certificates. Certificates expire at the start of the next season, defined as 7am Saturday morning of the 1st round of the season. Certificates are not restricted to any one individual, and may be traded, sold, or bartered between riders.
